Middlesex University’s Rugby League team are set to play their next Student Rugby League fixture under floodlights on this evening (Wednesday 30th November) at Hemel Stags new state of the art floodlit rugby league pitch, undoubtedly one of the best pitches in the south of England. Kick-off is set for 7.30pm and entry is free for all spectators. The club is only five minutes from Junction 8 of the M1, the postcode for directions is HP2 5UD.
Middlesex are enjoying their first season in the BUCS South Student Rugby League competition, after building on the success of last year’s season, playing several friendlies. Aidan Doherty, the 2011-2012 Rugby League Captain and Scholarship Student at Middlesex, commented, “we have attracted more player’s into the squad this year, many of whom have come into rugby league for the first time this season. There is a real buzz around the training ground and there is real competition for places in the starting 13.”
