A young and inexperienced Skolars ‘A’ side went down to the Army XIII yesterday at New River ahead of the Championship 1 fixture against Rochdale. The friendly game featured several of this year’s Skolars under 18 London Youth League champions who provided some encouraging performances including Louie Sutherland and Jack Clover. Ultimately, the Army’s size and experience told as they made inroads on the fringes of the tiring Skolars defence. The game finished 46-10 in the Army’s favour.

This coming Saturday the Skolars ‘A’ play South London Storm in their playoff semi-final at New River, 2.30pm kick off and with some players returning they will be looking to get back to winning ways in the hope of making the Southern Premier grand final.
