As the 2015 Capital Challenge fast approaches, alongside the Wigan Warriors we also look forward to welcoming 6 of our partner Primary Schools to the HAC on Friday, for the annual PCUBED Challenge. The tournament now in its 6th year is once again sponsored by our valued city partners PCUBED, it gives the chance for 6 of our most talented Primary Schools to compete for the coveted title of PCUBED Challenge Champions.
For most of our schools the visit to the HAC in January has now become a fixture that is firmly embedded into their calendars, however we do have 2 newcomers this year in Coleridge Primary and St Pauls and Hallow from Tottenham. They will be looking forward to challenging reigning champions Coldfall and current Haringey Tag Champions Rhodes Avenue.
This morning London Skolars intern Joel Holmes conducted the draw alongside Community Development Manager Matt Cuss. The 6 schools were drawn out one by one, and the 2 groups are :
Group One – Rhodes Avenue, Coldfall and Coleridge
Group Two – St Pauls and Hallow, St Micheals and Keble
Community Development Manager, Matt Cuss commented on the draw ‘It’s going to be another fantastic PCUBED Challenge by the looks of things, each year we look to improve the quality of our schools competing, through scouting and our development work that we undertake in our local Primary Schools. Whilst there are no weak sides in the competition, Group One does look very tough and I’m sure the game between Rhodes Avenue and current PCUBED champions Coldfall will be a fantastic spectacle.
The action will take place on the main field before the main event, and as always the pupils and teachers will always value your support and you’ll be sure to see some stars of the future.
There are limited tickets still available for the Capital Challenge and these can be bought on the gate at the HAC from 1pm priced at £15.
