Despite the score, a great day of rugby league was had at the New River Stadium as Whitehaven came to town for the first time since their Friday Night Lights visit some three years ago.

Following a strong start from the Skolars, the hosts led at half time 8-6. A resurgence from the visitors saw he score-line run away from the Skolars with the final score being 14-28.
