It was a case of what might have been for London Skolars this afternoon. The team worked incredibly hard in humid conditions and came close to achieving a wonderful result.
Oldham started the came in lively fashion and found themselves leading 0-12 inside twenty minutes. Credit is due to the Skolars squad for fashioning a number of point scoring chances. In the end, the team ran out of time and narrowly lost 14-15. An earlier Oldham drop goal proved to be decisive come the final hooter. Confidence should be taken from the performance and the club will now concentrate on the away trip to Doncaster RLFC next weekend.
