Caro’s five tries and three conversions against West Wales Raiders last week saw him equal one club record in the professional era and almost equal another.
His five try haul equalled the record set by Mark Cantoni against Gateshead Thunder in 2004. However, both were some way short of the all-time Skolars record of seven tries established in the club’s London Amateur Rugby League days against Ipswich Rhinos back in December 1996.
His 26 points was just short of the professional era record of 28 points set by Dylan Skee against South Wales Scorpions in 2012 .
The all-time club record of 32 points is shared by three players, all having occurred in the Rugby League Conference. Ant Dellar scored two tries and kicked twelve goals in the side’s 0-102 win at South London Storm in 2000, equaled in the same season by Mike Elgood in the 104-8 defeat of Kingston Warriors. The following season saw Damien Greene also score two tries and kick twelve goals when Skolars defeated South Norfolk.
