SKOLARS trailed West Wales Raiders at halftime but went on the rampage in the Valleys after the break.

Seeking their third consecutive victory, Joe Mbu’s men found the going tough against the Welsh in the first half at Stebonheath Park in round 11 of Betfred League One and trailed 16-12 at oranges.

But Joe’s halftime speech must have been a pearler as the boys from the capital scored 26 points without reply in a second-half blitzkrieg.

Once more, fullback Jarred Bassett led the way with a try brace.
