Skolars 66-16 win over North Wales Crusaders set a number of records for the club in the professional era.
It’s the first time that 10 different players have scored tries for the club in the same game. Strangely, two players who didn’t score were Austen Aggrey and Ade Adebisi, who are the club’s top two try scorers.
The 50 point margin was a club record, beating the previous best of 46 in the 68-22 win against Gateshead Thunder in 2010. It’s the first time that the club has scored 40 points before half-time.
Dylan Skee’s final conversion saw him break his own club points scoring record. His two tries and nine goals gave him a 26 point haul, bettering the 24 he scored against Rochdale Hornets last season.
The win put Skolars into fourth place in the league, though with just two games played there is still a long way to go in Co-operative Championship 1. Oldham and Barrow are the only sides that remain unbeaten.
The reserves side also put in an impressive performance, beating St Albans Centurions 44-18 in a pre-season friendly.
